Whether you have just graduated, are in between jobs, or at a mid-career stage is irrelevant to being successful in VentureLab Twente. Neither is it necessary to have a clear business idea to join the programme. What you do need is the ambition to start a high-tech high potential company!

A technological background is not required, but affinity with and appreciation for technology and its role in society, are a must. Equally important is team spirit and an interest in performing a clear role in your future business, be it as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Financial Officer, or Chief Production Officer, or yet another capacity.

You may bring in your own team, proposed business partner, or apply on your own and we will help you build a team. If your employer is interested to have you (and a team) work exclusively on new business development, you (and the team) can also join VentureLab.

Our offer

VentureLab Twente is a community of entrepreneurs, scientists, managers, and experts from industry and the financial world, brought together with one aim: assisting high-technology, high potential start-ups to develop and reach their full potential.

VentureLab offers an intensive programme, aimed at developing the necessary competencies to create a high-technology, high potential company. It includes shaping a business opportunity, developing the business model and writing a business plan, building your entrepreneurial team, and starting your company. You will benefit from training and coaching by highly qualified experts and entrepreneurs from different countries.

VentureLab Twente also provides a number of office facilities and you will have access to newly developed technologies, venture capitalists in your market and relevant networks of (international) companies and scientists.

Get acquainted

There are four entry points to the VentureLab community which are specially designed to deliver services that suit the needs of all types of high-tech high potential entrepreneurs and ventures.

• VentureLab Training
  This entry point covers the complete training programme of VentureLab Twente. You or your team will participate in a one year education programme. The programme starts three times a year for up to 40 new participants (February, May, and October).

  The next opportunity to enter the programme is planned on September 22, 2010.
  The participation fee is € 2.500.

• VentureLab Open Training
  If you consider joining the training programme but do not know what to expect then the open training might suit your needs by providing a preview of what to expect in the training programme. There is no registration fee.

• VentureLab VentureClass
  The VentureClass is a monthly organised public training and an excellent networking opportunity and to get familiar with the VentureLab community. The event is free of charge and includes a dinner possibility. Please see the ‘upcoming events’ section at the right side of the webpage for the next venture class.

• VentureLab Soft Landing
  In order to help high-tech high potential entrepreneurs and ventures from outside the Netherlands achieve a “soft landing” to the West-European markets, VentureLab offers them the support needed that will help them facing the challenges that are common while entering in foreign markets.
